An Easter Weekend To Remember

Posted in Parenting by

This past weekend was fabulous. Aside from Easter Monday, which we spent mooching around in our PJ’s,we were busy entertaining or being entertained all weekend. Saturday was an especially fun day. We got together with some of the parents from Ava’s school, who we’ve become really good friends with, for a braai and an Easter Egg hunt. The kids had a great time, I think the adults did too, although, I think we were all a little exhausted after, 8 adults + 8 children under the age of 4… you can just imagine!

I had really hoped that after the super busy day we’d had on Saturday that Ava would be so exhausted that she may actually let us sleep until 7am on Sunday morning but not such luck. She was so excited about the Easter Bunny that we were woken up by shrieks of delight just after 5am when madam discovered that the Easter Bunny had been into her room, left a trail of Easter Eggs and bunny paw prints that lead to her Easter basket stash!

The fact that she slept at all on Sunday is a miracle, considered that she did NOTHING except eat chocolate all day on Sunday!

Here’s hoping you all had a blessed Easter!
