Ava Approved Holiday Fun – The Easter Playground at Silverstar Casino

If you live in Jozi and are looking for fun activities to keep your kids busy these holiday’s, then we can recommend visiting the Easter Playground at Silverstar Casino. We were invited to the opening of the Easter Playground and Ava, my little eccentric adventurer has given this event two thumbs up!

Easter Playground

The Easter Playground launched yesterday in the Silverstar Square and will run everyday until the 3rd April and best of all, it’s totally free. My girls ran riot there yesterday, along with all the other kids and Ava had so much fun, she did not want to leave and made me promise we’ll take her back to the Easter Playground during the school holidays.

I loved how child focused and family friendly this event is. Situated in Silverstar Square and surrounded by restaurants, it affords parents an opportunity to sit and enjoy a leisurely meal from any one of the multitudes of restaurants, while their kids run riot. Best of all, Silverstar really have gone out of their way to embrace this time for kids, with small details like having staff on the square handing out towels for the kids to dry off after playing in the fountains or going down the water slide. And the staff manning the actual rides are wonderfully kid focused, friendly and helpful with the kids too.

There are activities set up for kids of all ages, including a large jumping castle.

Some freaky tower thing that lifts you up in a harness and then releasing the air pressure and dropping you back down to earth. This was Ava’s favorite ride, she must have gone on it about 10 times.

She even convinced me to go on it with her……

We also got “lost” in the maze…

Aside from these activities, there are also food carts to buy drinks and snacks in the square and other rides that all the kids enjoyed, including the bumper bikes…

and the train….

Your kids can also enjoy face painters and next weekend, the Easter Bunny will also be there. In addition, there will be an Easter Pop Up Market on the 26th & 27th March. And don’t forget movies on the Square, giveaways and so much more.

You guys, it really was such a fun day out and I enjoyed the chance to sit back and relax and watch my children run wild. They had the best time and everyone went home, wet, tired and begging to return.
