I’ve been really really worried about what I was going to do about Ava’s care when I return to work in a few months time. I mean, really stressed about it. Who do I trust with my precious child? Thankfully, I think we have found a suitable solution…..
You see, we are fortunate to have an amazing domestic worker, Loveness. She’s been with us for 5 years and I trust her implicitly! She’s wonderful with my dogs, really caring and sweet and since Ava’s arrival, she’s completely besotted with her as well. My concern was that Loveness is employed by 3 other families as well and I was unsure of whether or not she’d be willing to give up those jobs to come and work for us permanently. I needn’t have worried, when I broached the subject with her yesterday, she jumped at the opportunity.
So as of the 1st February, Ava will have a full time nanny! I will be doing some admin work from home for the months of March and April before returning to work, which means that we all have an opportunity to get comfortable with Loveness’s new position in our home. I’ve also found an awesome company, CC Med Care, and I’ve enrolled her for the following courses:
- Baby and Child care
- Baby and child stimulation
- First Aid
- Home Management
Of course, I’ve explained to Loveness that her primary function will be to care for Ava and housework will be secondary. Thankfully, with her working for us 5 days a week, I reckon she should be able to keep on top of everything without too much of a hassle. Lovenss is so excited, she’s totally into it and already yesterday was running around and helping a lot with Ava. And I feel immensely relieved to know that I have someone I can rely on, like a second Mom for Ava, someone that will love her and heap love and tenderness on her.
Now I can go back to work and not have to worry permanantly and that is a HUGE relief as I really didn’t want to put her in a daycare at such a young age.
