{Book Review} Rachel Morgan – The Trouble With Flying

I was given a digital copy of Rachel Morgan’s The Trouble With Flying in exchange for an honest review so here goes:

1-trouble-with-flying-rachel-morganWhen nineteen-year-old introvert Sarah boards a plane to fly home after an overseas holiday, the last thing she expects is Aiden, the guy sitting next to her who’s never flown anywhere before and refuses to shut up. Hours of random conversation later, they part ways. Sarah can’t stop thinking about Aiden, though, and wondering if she made a terrible mistake letting him go. Should she abandon her safe, predictable life and go in search of him, or would she be chasing a happily ever after that could never exist in real life?

First off… the biggest disappointment from this book is the above synopsis. It doesn’t do the story justice, doesn’t give you enough insight into this sweet, coming of age story.

This is a light hearted, easy to read, contemporary romance with no explicit language or sex. Just a sweet sweet easy read that explores the themes of learning to accept who we are, fate and coincidence and of course it also explores the theme of facing our fears through a series of events and metaphors and with plenty of humour too.

The book is written by South African author, Rachel Morgan and I really did enjoy the South Africanisms in this book along with recognizing places and foods woven within the story.

The book has an average of 3.94 stars on Goodreads and I rated it a solid 4 stars.

There are more books in this series too:
