I’m a massive fan of Colleen Hoover! Massive! I’ve read every single one of her books and LOVED them all!
I’ve been waiting patiently, ok, that’s a lie, I am very much lacking in the patience department, for months now, for her latest book to be released, November 9. Last week, it finally downloaded onto my Kindle after I’d pre-ordered it sometime ago and as with every other Colleen Hoover book, this one did not disappoint. I LOVED it, I finished it within a couple of days!
Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in L.A. together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist.
Can Ben’s relationship with Fallon—and simultaneously his novel—be considered a love story if it ends in heartbreak?
This book did not disappoint. The story was unusual and captivating and full of angsty tension that had me gripping my Kindle and desperate to know what was going to happen next. In true Hoover style, aside from the unique story, there is also a well thought out plot twist, that I didn’t see coming… I mean, I imagined it, I thought I knew what it was, but I did not imagine it would be THAT!
This will probably be my favorite Hoover book… that is till her next release. If you love emotional, well thought out and well written easy reads that you can get lost in, then I can’t recommend this book enough!
