Currently …. just a ramble about things…

I feel like blogging but having nothing specific in mind so here’s a bit of a currently ramble…

ReadingThe Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins

I’ve only just started reading it after having it on my Kindle for months! It’s taken a while to get into it, but I can say it has now firmly grabbed my imagination and I may have a problem putting it down!

Also, if you’re on Good Reads, hit me up, I’m always looking for more interesting book recommendations!

Here’s what I have lined up currently:

Thinking about…..My 13 year wedding anniversary, which is coming up on Monday. I’ve got a post in my draughts titled “How I met your father” because Walter and I have an unusual love story. I’ve been thinking a lot about what makes a successful marriage, how we continue to fall into that category, what I can do to continue to make things better, how much we’ve changed as individuals and as a couple. Where we’ve come from and where we’re going.

Looking forward to…. a girls night out tonight. My friends are very important to me and I love spending time with them. I rarely get an opportunity to hang with them, just us girls and I’m so looking forward to tonight…. tomorrow’s hang over is tomorrow’s worry!

Oh and summer, there are little signs of Spring everywhere and I can’t wait for the warmer weather. I love being out doors whether it’s on a run or just hanging outside with family and friends and even though we’ve had a fairly mild winter, I’m SO ready for it to be over.

Enjoying…. the little gift I bought for myself from Takealot – a Universal, 3 in 1 Camera lens set. I’m especially enjoying playing with the macro lens, as you can probably tell from the images I’ve shared.

Listening to…. Alterbridge… a fairly recent discovery that I won’t lie, I’m quite addicted to. Especially this song – Watch Over You… it constantly makes me think of my friend, Lisa-Marie who lost her husband unexpectedly last year.

Excited about….. my big blog overhaul! The Blessed Barrenness is getting a whole new look! New logo, new layout, the works. All overseen and designed by the amazing Cupcake Mummy from Charlie Foxtrot┬áSometime tomorrow my blog will go into maintenance mode for all the changes and I’m super excited. I’ve been really bored with my blogs look and feel for a while now and having so much blog envy at all the other pretty blogs on the block, but now it’s time…. watch this space!

Watching… the crime channel. I don’t know why I do it to myself. Walter is convinced that it’s because I’m picking up tips and secretly planning his murder! But I’m somewhat addicted to the crime channels on DSTV. I cant’stop watching them and they’re terrible for my anxiety but I just can’t seem to look away!

Have a fabulous long weekend everyone… check you next week, with the all new Blessed Barrenness reveal!
