Dreaming Of What Could Have Been

My nephew started school this week. He was conceived 2 months after my first miscarriage. It was painful listening to how excited he was to start school and not think about what should have been. My first should have started school this week too.

(((HUGS))) hon, that’s the worst part of m/c when you were pregnant the same time as some one close to you. I have two 3 yo girls to remind me everytime I see them.

Oh, (((hugs))). I understand. There is a little girl next door — 6 months & one grade younger than my daughter would have been, but close enough. The very first day my daughter would have started grade 1 was rough, but I was doing OK, until I saw this little girl, all dressed up for her first day of kindergarten & skipping happily down her driveway. I absolutely crumpled.

I hear you Sharon. Have compassion for yourself. And then if you can, share the joy of your nephew’s big day. Hugs and healing thoughts to you.

I thought I was alone. Thanks for your blog. Lost first baby 4 years ago and another in August. I’m struggling to get through all the pain and questions of what I could have done better… I pray that you will soon be blogging about little pink feet.
