Guess who’s back? Back again! Furby’s back! Tell a friend!
Or rather, don’t tell your children because the latest installment of Furby, Furby Connect friend, will drive you crazy with his nonstop Furbish chatter, while entertaining your kids for hours! They will LOVE him!
Furby Connect is more interactive and even better than before.
Furby has got to be the toy that every kid loves and every parent hates. Ava had the previous installment of Furby and I was convinced that thing was possessed. I can’t tell you how many times that Furby almost made me jump out of my skin as I tiptoed down the passage to get a drink of water in the middle of the night and Furby would suddenly start screeching in Furbish from somewhere inside a cupboard. But Ava loved him and she was heart broken when he died (read the batteries ran flat).
The all new Furby Connect Friend is more fun than the previous installments.
I have to say, even I’ve been quite taken with the new Furby Connect friend, he is bluetooth enabled and comes with his own app that is free to download and really increases the level of interaction and fun for kids. This Furby Connect friend has a light-up antenna that glows when there’s something new to discover in the app — including music and videos!
But here’s a quick little video to tell you more:
So Ava wanted to review the Furby Connect over on Ava’s Puppy Planet, she’s that taken with this toy!
The Furby Connect is not difficult to figure out, even Hannah has had hours of fun with her Furby, interacting with him, he has colourful eyes that display more than 150 animations to help express what he wants, whether he’s hungry and needs to be fed, wants to tickled or played with.
I think the folks over at Hasbro really listened to what both kids and parents wanted from this interactive toy. For starters, the Sleep Mask instantly puts Furby to sleep, so you don’t get a nasty surprise while tiptoeing down the passage at midnight. Once the mask is on Furby goes to sleep and doesn’t wake up unless his sleep mask is removed. But leave him to sleep for too long and he goes into deep sleep mode. This happened to Hannah’s Furby and we couldn’t get him to wake up, no amount of tickling, shaking, shouting and tail pulling would make him wake but after some googling, we discovered that Furby has a reset button inside the battery casing and this will work almost every time to wake you Furby when he’s comatose.
The app has been the game changer here.
It has literally made the Furby go from an annoying and noisy toy to a full interactive experience for kids. Furby Connect friend has a light-up antenna that glows when there’s something new to discover in the app — including music and videos! Ava’s favorite is hatching Furblings.
But cutest of all…
What’s better than one Furby? Why, two Furbys of course! The cutest thing and my girls love this part, is watching how Furby’s interact with each other! They sync with each other, have conversations with each other and even dance together.
You can purchase your Furby Connect friend online and at leading toy retailers.
Disclaimer: I was given two Furbys for the purpose of this review.
