The Importance Of Night Cream & A Natural’s Beauty Review

Did you ever wonder what the difference is between day and night cream?

Or why you should be using both, if you’re not already? Let’s me explain, our skin is the largest organ in our body and just like our brains and hearts, they rest, replenish and restore when we rest, much the same as our digestive systems or any other organ in the body. It was one of the lessons that stood out for me, when I was studying beauty therapy. Why you really DO need to use both.

So here’s why you need to use night cream.

Your day cream is designed to be protective. Or, if it isn’t, you should probably consider changing to one that is. During the day, our skins are assaulted by outside aggressors, including free radicals, UV rays, pollution and of course make up. So day creams are designed to protect our skins while moisturizing, to be light, non greasy and easily absorbed to allow for the application of makeup.

Your night cream is designed to assist your skin is replenishing and restoring your skin, while you rest, while your body naturally restores and replenishes itself.

I’ve found it odd that so many product lines don’t include a night cream in them, or when I’m sent products to review, a night cream is not included, because this is the product, aside from a serum, that is designed to bring about the most changes in your skin.

Natural’s Beauty – Essential Collection

After my blog post about my 3 favorite facial oils, a few of your commented that you loved the Natural’s Beauty facial oil, so I was thrilled when Tanya from Natural’s Beauty got in touch and asked to send me some products to try.

Here’s what she sent me:

The Natural’s Beauty Essential Collection Anti-Aging Oil Serum

This product contains Rosehip, Evening Primrose, Olive & Avocado oils are enriched with Carrot Root extract, Pomegranate extract and a beautiful selection of anti-wrinkle essential oils for your skin.

So what did I think? I liked the oil, it was nice, it had a pleasant, natural fragrance and it’s reasonably priced at R205. But it wasn’t as rich for me as the other oils in my list of favourite oils. It penetrates quickly into the skin and if you’re not a fan of oily facial products, you’ll probably love this one.

The Natural’s Beauty Essential Collection Night Cream

Now this product I LOVED! It is a luxurious nourishing cream with firming, even skin tone and anti-wrinkle actions from the Baobab Extract. Soybean Oil, Evening Primrose Oil and Avocado Oil moisturize and provides vitamins A,E,B and omega 3 and 6 to the skin to improve smoothness and elasticity. Anti-oxidants are provided by Rooibos extract and Vitamin E to keep skin healthy and younger looking. Now with added Goji Berry, Pomegranate and Carrot root extract and I really liked it. It also has a lovely, fresh, natural fragrance and I nice rich consistency which I love in a night cream. My skin felt deeply moisturized without being greasy after application. And best of all, it’s ONLY R125!

Do you use night cream? If no, have I convinced you that you need to? And if yes, which is your favorite night cream?
