In less than a month, it’s my birthday, my 44th birthday! And already family and friends have started asking me what I’d like for my birthday. On Friday, I had a chat with a couple of my friends and they were asking what I’d like and I really had to think about it.
Obviously, there are a whole bunch of things I’d love that are just unrealistic and never going to happen…. a fat bank balance, a style make over and new wardrobe, a trip to Disney World… you get the picture. And honestly, I’m a very lucky woman, I pretty much have everything that I need but, as with most woman, there are a few things I just WANT so here are my top pics for my birthday this year:
My faithful hair drier, which I have used for about 10 years, got dropped mid blow dry last week and finally bit the dust, after an epic death roll wich included shooting one final flame, burning the carpet and then dramatically sputtering and dying. Now I have thick hair, it takes ages to blow dry so I can’t use any old, compact hair drier, I need a super sonic professional level hair drier to do the job and I’d love this one by GHD, the AIR.
Staying with all things hair related, now that my hair is longer and I’ve started experimenting with various styles and even having fun with the classic ponytail, I’d love these Hair BumpIts from Homemark.
I mean, just look at some of the styles you can create with the Bumpits!
I also need some new makeup and I do love The Body Shop’s range of make up. I’ve used their All-In-One Face Base for years and I’m a big fan of heir highlighting domes but I’d love to try these:
And then of course, I am also in desperate need of new make up brushes, I’ve been using the same ones for YEARS!
Of course, with winter upon us, there are also a bunch of winter goodies I’d love, like these Leather Midi Boots from Woolworths
Or this totally gorgeous Country Road Jordana Sling Bag because my current hand bag has really seen better days!
And then of course, a new winter coat. I have a couple of coats and jackets but I really do love this one from Spree, the Saddle Stitch Double Breasted Coat Camel
And this notebook, just because it’s gorgeous, seriously guys, I think I may have a fetish developing with notebooks, I love them and carry them around with me and have a ton of them, but I really loved this one from Woolworths.
Obviously vouchers always make a great gift to because I tend to be cheap with myself and rarely buy myself nice things or spend a large amount of money on myself. So vouchers are always a great way to get me out there and buying something nice for myself…. funny how having kids does that to one! I’d rather spend my money on my kids before I spend it on me.
But…. really…. Disney World! *sigh* I shall continue to dream! And again, that’s only a dream because I’d love to take my children there!
