Spotlight On Motherhood – I Fail But Still My Kids Love Me!

I had this idea for a video I wanted to create for a couple of months now. What I envisioned was an interview with my children where they sang my praises as a mother that would leave me reaching for the tissues, crying tears of joy and feeling accomplished. I’d hope to inspire other mothers who may be struggling with motherhood in the process, to remind them that even when they feel like they are failing as mothers, they’re still doing ok.

But what I got was something quite different!

I got a big bright spotlight shone down on all my failings as a mother. I got rather cute and somewhat funny interview with my kids that highlighted my shortcomings.

And you know what?

I’m actually ok with that. I’m not perfect. Far from it actually, but you know what? My girls love me anywhere, they love me warts and failures and all. Are there aspects of me as a mother they wish they could change? I’m sure there is, but I don’t believe they’d change me for any other mother and I’m willing to bet that your kids feel the same way.

So the next time you’re feeling like a failure as a mother….

Watch this video and remember we’re all just doing the best we can!

I love this. Made me laugh out loud as I can see my kids saying the same stuff about me. Loved the part about the wine. Classic. X
