The Art Of Gift Giving & Gift Ideas I LOVE!

Disclaimer – This is NOT a sponsored post, I was not asked to write or review any of the products mentioned below.

I am a pedantic gift giver. Nothing gives me more pleasure than thinking about someone I love and carefully planning the perfect gift for them. I will rarely, unless specifically asked to do so, or unless I know with 100% certainty that it’s something you’d love, give you a gift voucher. For me, the joy in gift giving comes from the careful selection of the perfect gift, followed by pretty wrapping, lots of ribbon and raffia and of course gift tags.

I’ve had a spate of family and friends having birthdays in the last couple of months and wanted to share some of my new favorite gift ideas!

The Tea Merchant

I stumbled across The Tea Merchant store at Clearwater mall recently and even though I’m more of a coffee drinker than a tea drinker, the store itself made me want to drink ALL the tea! They have a HUGE range of tea’s, not to mention the most beautiful teapots and accessories you have ever seen and specialize in importing the finest tea’s, predominantly from China for both private consumers and restaurants and the tea trade.

They have a number of stores in all the major cities as well as an online store too. Go have a look, you’ll fall in love with all that they have on offer! You can also Like them on Face Book!

I’m just a little, ok a lot, obsessed with Yankee Candle! I love candles – period. But these beauties are so much more, so much more beautiful, fragrant and just all round more, than your average candle out there. I think they make beautiful gifts and I want all of them! All of them!

They have stores or stockists nationwide and best of all, you can also shop online!

My other go to gift are prints from Print Wild! I’ve reviewed their amazing products before, you can read the review here and I’ve subsequently use their services for birthday and Christmas gifts 3 times and I’ve yet to be disappointed.

I gave my bestie a set of printWild prints for her birthday and another very special friend a set of prints too. This is one of the main reasons I will almost always have a photographer at our parties and functions… because the photo’s… oh the photo’s… there is nothing more special to me than a beautiful moment captured in time and then printed on a printWild face block or Big 1!

Just to give you an idea on how amazing these guys are, late on Friday night, 21st February, I ordered a set of face blocks for a friends birthday the following Saturday. I was stressed about the timing for checking, production and delivery but these guys blew me away with their amazing service. My prints were delivered to me the following Thursday, 26th February with plenty of time for me to admire my stroke of genius in gift choice and spend time on pretty wrapping!

Be sure to like the on Face Book, follow them on Twitter or follow their Instagram feed for lots of tips and ideas.

Now, it’s your turn to share… you favorite go to store, website for gift buying? I’m always on the look out for unusual and pretty ideas so share!

LOVE your suggestions! Have done print wild as Christmas gifts – faceblocks were a hit! My friends always rant about tea merchant and yankee candles, my Bday is soon, so will drop the hint to Damien 🙂

Oh I love giving gifts – my favorite 3 shops being Manneki, Carrol Boyes and Fire and glass – they made the most gorgeous handmade glass beads – almost like Pandora etc, but each made specially for you to your spec if you want. They also have of shelf items. Pretoria – Duncan yard
