Winter Is Coming! You NEED A Spindel Dryer! #laundrylifesaver {WIN} One Here!

Sponsored!

Winter is just around the corner and once again, we’re faced with the challenge of getting laundry dry in either freezing cold temperatures or very wet and rainy weather, depending on where you’re located in the country. I’ve found in Jozi’s often times, freezing temps, even during the day, the sun just doesn’t dry the laundry and it lands up getting that horrid musty smell.

Tumble Dryers are great!

But they’re heavy on electricity and most garments can’t be tumble dried. But back in 2015 I was sent a Spindel dryer for review and it totally revolutionized how I got my washing done .

How It Works:

Spindel is a specialist laundry dryer that uses spin power instead of heat to remove up to 80% of moisture from fabrics in just 3 minutes.  Plus, it uses 100 times less energy than a tumble dryer! It also extracts residual detergent and mineral deposits from fabrics, so laundry dries cleaner and feels better too.  Spindel can be used with machine or hand-washed laundry and is safe for all fabrics.

Some of the thinner fabrics come out of our Spindel dryer almost completely dry.

And it’s fantastic for all those winter woolies which take AGES to dry! And, so often, with the weight of the water in them they stretch and dry out of shape.

Here are a few more reasons why you really want a Spindel:

  • Invest in a Spindel – this eco-friendly appliance uses spin power instead of heat, leaving machine or hand-washed fabrics almost dry in just 3 minutes. Delicate items dry in a fraction of the time (even indoors), with no damp smells left behind!
  • No damage to fabrics – the Spindel is safe for all fabrics – even the most delicate items such as wool or cashmere that are normally hand washed.
  • Saves energy – no heat means that the Spindel uses less than 1% of the electricity that a tumble dryer consumes!
  • Removes detergents – the spin power also removes excess detergents and softeners, leaving fabrics softer and cleaner.

Spindel is available at home stores such as Hirsch’s & Tafelberg Furnishers, as well as online at Takealot.com or Yuppiechef.com.  Priced from R1,999.

I would love this! When my tumble-dryer broke beyond repair a year ago I couldn’t replace it. What I did notice was that my electricity bill dropped by over R 500 a month! But sometimes you just need something dry and the weather is unco-operative. A Spindle would be the perfect solution!

I recently moved into a new apartment exactly 1 month ago. It’s a beautiful new place that I now call home. A double deposit took a chunk out of my savings and therefore I have to start to furnish my place bit by bit starting with essential appliances. I just bought a new washing machine and oh the woes of living in a high rise building not having the luxury of a tumble dryer or an sunny outdoor clothes line to dry up my sopping wet clothes. Simple things in life that we take for granted like fresh air and direct sunlight. It’s not that I appreciate so much. I’ve had 5 loads of washes in the last month and now with the season change and it getter darker and colder, I am struggling to have fresh smelling and dry clean clothes to put on as my clothes and linen and bedding just don’t dry properly and in time. My routine is a quick wash in the evenings after work, and I put up the wet clothes on the plastic drying clothes horse in the lounge to catch the early morning sun. Then I am up in the morning at 5:30 to get ready for work which takes about an hour and then I have to close up all the doors and windows which means, no free flowing air. The clothes stand indoors all day and then when I am back in the evenings, it’s dark and the clothes and even the apartment has a damp odour. It takes about 3 full days to have 1 load fully dried. If I win the ‎spindel, it will be a heaven sent treasure! It’s what I need and pray for most. Reading about ‎spindel and its amazing spin power, instead of heat, to remove up to 80% of the leftover moisture from clothes in just three minutes sounds like a dream in that I get to save as well on my electricity bill as it uses 100 times less electricity than a tumble dryer. If I win the ‎spindel, it will be a real #laundrylifesaver.

I have never owned a drier – not much call for one in Joburg, but the weather is changing and sometimes in winter my maid has begged me for one. I recently used a strange balloon heat thing at my sisters house and I was interested enough to consider it. But the spindle sounds even better no heat so all the wool and streatchy fabrics can be dried easily.

Favourite feature is that it uses 100 times less energy than a tumble dryer. As pensioners we try all ways to keep our electricity consumption as low as possible. This would be fantastic .

I recently moved to Joburg and my two biggest problems are the potatoes and Laundry. Potatoes never cook, it’s so hard to find soft cooking potatoes. As for the laundry OMG I constantly have to move the clothes rack in the direction of the sun. When I’m not home then the clothes don’t ever dry and they smell. Please help me save my sanity and physical energy. Feels like I’m going crazy, I even dream about my laundry.

It looks interesting. I hate using a normal tumble dryer because of the waste of electricity.
This is quick, easy and doesn’t damage the clothes.
    I would love one.
