So a couple of week’s ago, I shared about the roller coaster ride that we’d been on, but the story doesn’t end there……….

At around the same time that we thought everything was falling apart and that our adoption dreams were dashed, we received a call that would change everything and you have no idea how hard it has been to keep this to myself for the last 3 weeks. But today, after a meeting and file hand over with our Social Worker, I can finally share our big news with you!

On the 24th April 2013, God Willing, we will go to the Bellville Magistrate Court and sign all the papers, from there we will go to a Place Of Safety in Cape Town and collect our daughter, Hannah, who was born on the 22nd February 2013 at 1am, weighing in at 3.2kg’s and 49cm in length.

For those of you who noticed, I’ve had a count down running on my blog, see the right side bar. We have 14 more sleeps till we bring our daughter home and a hell of a lot to do in the interim, including finishing her room, which is of course an owl theme and attending two baby showers! Squee….

It’s happening! It’s really really happening and I can’t actually believe it. God has answered our prayers and Ava was right, she is getting a little sister!
