Please do come in and have a look around! What do you think of my gorgeous new home on the internet?
How it happened….
A couple of months ago, after really struggling to get comfortable with a brand look that I could love and live with, I made an attempt to rebrand myself using Canva. I loved my colour scheme but wasn’t totally wild with the look of the rebrand but at the time, I simply wasn’t in a position to pay a designer to create a brand for me. But then something amazing happened.
The same day FreshFire Studio went out, Karin from FreshFire Studio got in touch with me. Apparently, as luck would have it, she has been a reader of my blog and is also a designer. She was in the process of rebranding her own business and wanted to start focusing on more female type brand development, so she offered to recreate my brand for me on condition that she could use it as part of her portfolio.
Working with Karin has been a pleasure, she is super professional and the whole creative process was a joy for me. After I’d completed the initial interview process, I knew she was going to create something amazing, because she just GOT me. She put together a mood board that blew my mind! I was beyond excited!
From there we started talking about symbolism and ideas and designs that really spoke to me and before long, the concept was born.
The swallow also represents love, care and affection towards family and friends, showing the loyalty of the person always returning to them. The bird also represents freedom and hope.
What I loved the most about working with Karin, design skills and intuition aside, was how professional she is in what she presented. When she sent me the final logo’s and brand development yesterday, I literally had everything I needed. My logo’s and images were sent to me in every kind of format and in varying layout designs, along with HTML colour codes so that I can manipulate my brand to work on every kind of platform.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you Karin.
I am IN LOVE with my new little home on the web, you are a rock star!
