Next Sunday, 13th May, is Mother’s Day. It’s my most favourite holiday, mostly because I never thought it would happen to me. Motherhood I mean. Although to be fair, I’ve only had about 2 Mother’s Day in my 8 years as a mother that was really a celebration of me. And this year will be no different.
Mother’s Day Celebrations
This year I’ll be at Charlotte Maxeke for Mother’s Day Connect, which I’m really looking forward to, last year was such an incredible experience. After that, I’ll be hosting my husbands family for lunch. What are your plans for Mother’s Day?
Every year, I put together a list of my top pics for gifts in the hope that I give my husband a little guidance. So here they are, my 2018 wishlist:
Maribu Leather Laptop Bag
I travel a lot and always have my laptop with me. The one I’m currently using is also leather and I’ve used it for years but the problem I have with it is that it’s quite narrow so once I’ve packed in my notepad, charging cables, battery bank, etc, it’s completely overstuffed and is always a mission to pack and repack at the airport when going through the security checkpoints.
I’m absolutely crazy about this one from Maribu Leather.
A new gown.
If you follow my Instastories, you’ll know how much I love my gown. It is my comfort clothing and especially in winter time, it’s the first thing I put on when I get home, after taking off my shoes and my bra. I really loved this pink, fluffy, glitter gown from Woolies.
A new winter coat.
I have a gorgeous coat, that cost a small fortune when I bought it, but that was 10 years ago and it’s starting to look a little worse for wear. I’d love a new winter coat and I especially loved this Belted Wrap Coat from Woolies.
Sneakers from Saint & Summer
I’ve become a little obsessed with sneakers lately. It’s a good thing they’re fashionable because I’ve found the older I get, the more I’m interested in comfort over style. I absolutely adore these Luster Sneakers from Saints & Summer.
Clarins Lip Oils
I have always loved lip treatments and recently discovered the absolutely divine Clarins Lip Oils, I am especially crazy about the honey one. It is so deeply moisturizing and looks amazing on too. If you love lip treatments, do yourself a favour and give these a try!
Skin Creamery’s Oil Milk Cleanser
Because it’s like the best cleanser I have ever used and I’ve run out. Seriously guys, I’ve written about this cleaners so many times. And now it comes in a refill pack to. I really need to get my fill of the Skin Creamery Oil Milk Cleanser.
And then of course flowers are always a winner.
Protea In A Bottle
I love the simplicity of this protea in a bottle from Woolies. And at only R66 it’s a steal. So pretty in it’s simplicity.
