The timing of the arrival of our The Secret Book Box couldn’t have been more perfect. Just a couple of days ago, I shared this tweet:
My 7 year old has discovered the joy of reading. she’s currently powering her way through Fantastic Mr Fox! And it’s not homework! #proud

As a self confessed book worm, I couldn’t be more proud. Reading has so many benefits, improved concentration, imagination, improved language skills, exercises the brain, it teaches us about the world around us and develops empathy, to name but a few, so this is really a skill and a passion I want to encourage in my children.
The Secret Book Box
The Secret Book Box is a a themed monthly book box, designed for children between the ages of 5 & 12 years old and tailored for boys and girls. Each month the theme is announced and you can then decide if you’d like to purchase the box, I love the fact that the box is a single purchase item, you’re not tied into an automatically renewed subscription, so you can choose the best boxes for your kids and not hurt your budget.
The theme for the October box was Hocus Pocus and the box came packed full of themed goodies, including a Witches Brew mug, which Ava & I are still fighting over, hot chocolate, marshmallows, a Cat lip gloss, which she loves, a witches pot of slime, collectors card, themed bookmark, an adorable cap and of course, an age appropriate book, which is dependent on the age group you chose. All of this for R340.
