On Trial: Lancôme Advanced Genefique Youth Activating Concentrate with Beauty Bulletin

Over the past 4 week’s, I’ve been putting this little bottle of black gold through it’s paces as part of the Lancôme #LoveYourAge campaign.

As part of the campaign, I was required to make a little introduction video and also share weekly beauty diaries.

Here is my video but be warned…. it’s like the video version of a #nomakeupselfie

I also had to post a before picture, so here you go:

But in brief, I will say that I have really loved this product, from it’s click top, that dispenses the perfect amount of product ensuring you don’t waste a drop of liquid gold, to how easily it applies and penetrates the skin without leaving a greasy residue.

Little Black Bottle

I have definitely noticed a change in my skin over the past four week’s, even my family and friends have been commenting on it. My skin’s texture looks a lot more refined and my skin looks a lot smoother. I also managed to make it through a violent bout of PMS in the past week without so much as a zit in sight. My complexion also seems much more even and my skin appears to have an almost dewey more youthful look.

I have really loved this product and already plotting getting my hands on more.

I’d also really like to thank Lancôme and Beauty Bulletin for choosing me as one of the 5 lucky winners of a Clarisonic Mia 2 valued at R2500!

Final Week

I also made a little video of how I use my Mia2! Which I love!

So overall I have really enjoyed this product, I felt it did live up to almost, if not all it’s promises, barring a face lift, not much is going to get rid of my lines now anyway and I’m pretty proud of them, they’re the road maps I wear on my face as reminders of what I carry in my heart. And my skin IS looking and feeling fantastic!

I ADORE Lancôme products – they were the first SERIOUS beauty products I started using in my 20’s. I’m super jealous of you getting to do this review!

I love your skin, it looks so perfect and blemish free! I am turning 40 in October and I have been battling acne for the last 6 months, nasty blind spots that take over a month to go away!
I aspire to have skin like yours!! 🙂

I don’t know if it’s a consolation, but I used to have extremely bad acne. I was on medication for a long time and had to have 2 acid peels to remove the scarring. It’s only now in my 40’s that I’ve started to like my skin.

I did take a course of Roaccutane when I was about 20… and was on Dianne & Yasmin for skin benefits after… but all of a sudden in the last 6 months… just a hot mess 🙁 I really hope it will pass… think I should start acne facial treatments, maybe it will help.
